New Guidance on Mental Health Care after Trauma

The World Health Organization released a new clinical protocol and guidelines for health-care workers treating the mental health consequences of people exposed to trauma and loss.  Using the new protocol, primary health-care workers can offer basic psychosocial support to refugees as well as people exposed to trauma or loss in other situations, such as disaster and emergency events.
