The Use of Volunteers in Hospitals DURING DISASTERS
Mesa County Advanced Practice Center is hosting a webinar on their toolkit, Blueprint for the Use of Volunteers in Hospitals and Rural Medical Centers, on September 4, 2012 at 12:00 PM EST.
This webinar will provide an overview of the Mesa APC toolkit, Blueprint for the Use of Volunteers in Hospitals and Rural Medical Centers. The Blueprint Toolkit has been used to help local public health agencies, hospitals, and Medical Reserve Corps units coordinate in the development of volunteer management plans and training/exercise programs. The toolkit is divided into four primary areas, which we will cover during this webinar: identify and organize your partners into a planning team, hospital emergency operations plan orientation, establish a training and exercise program, and just-in-time training for volunteer integration.
Register for this webinar at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/978253665. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing instructions for joining the webinar.
The toolkit can be accessed at http://health.mesacounty.us/MesaAPC/.
