Job Ad: Access Services Librarian, New York Medical College
The Health Sciences Library of New York Medical College, located in Westchester County, seeks an Access Services Librarian to help manage the daily activities of the Access Services department. This position provides an array of opportunities in terms of professional reference, access services, management and processing of interlibrary loans and document delivery requests, back up of educational media services, and other priority projects and assignments.
An ALA-accredited Master’s Degree in Library Sciences is required along with one year supervisory experience, preferably in an academic library. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required as well as an ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic reference knowledge, including web development, PubMed searching, as well as knowledge of ExLibris Voyager, Excel, ILLiad, DOCLINE, and OCLC preferred.
