Two papers published by the New England Journal of Medicine “could prove seminal in framing an upcoming historic debate about how to reduce health care costs,” according to Congressional Quarterly. One of the papers has 20 or so authors including Ezekiel Emanuel, M.D., Ph.D., Donald Berwick, M.D., M.P.P., Uwe Reinhardt, Ph.D., and Peter R. Orszag, Ph.D. The other is by Joseph R. Antos, Ph.D., Mark V. Pauly, Ph.D., and Gail R. Wilensky, Ph.D.
