How to Become a GMR Sponsored Webinar Site

The GMR will sponsor the registration costs for up to two (2) sites per state in the region for each MLA Webcast. A limited number of sites can be sponsored; please work with your state and local health science librarian groups to identify centralized locations.

To submit your request to be a sponsored site for this webcast:

  1. Download and/or print a copy of the MLA Webinar registration form: http://www.mlanet.org/pdf/ce/sys_review_site_reg.doc External Link Indicator Word doc
  2. Complete the form and sign the bottom of the form
    • Do not mark any of the boxes in the section after the address
    • Do not include purchase order or credit card information; no payment is required
  3. Do not send the form to MLA. Instead
    • If you are in Michigan, email your application to Barbara Platts at:  BPLATTS@mhc.net
    • Otherwise, either fax the completed form to:

    • OR send the form electronically to Graphic of email address
  4. IMPORTANT: With your form, please describe how many attendees you expect to draw at your location and how you plan to promote this webinar to those in your area. You may write this on the form, a fax cover sheet, in the email accompanying the electronic submission or in the following email:

    • To verify your email address and to let us know the form is on its way
    • Include your LIBID
    • Include information on additional contacts for your webinar site (e.g. a co-coordinator) and their email address(es)
  6. The deadline to submit registration and information to the GMR is NOON, Friday, March 21, 2014, Noon

Selection Process: Site selection will be based on geographical location, accessibility and potential number of attendees. Up to two (2) sites per state will be funded. Selections will be made by Tuesday, March 25, 2014, and all submitters will be informed of the GMR's decisions. Please note that the GMR will be covering the costs for Site Registration only, not Individual Registration.

Site coordinators will receive one (1) activity point applicable to their Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) membership. An additional point is available for leading a wrap-around session.
