RFPs Available Online for GMR Awards & Subcontracts
The GMR is pleased to announce that all Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for awards and subcontracts are now available online at: http://nnlm.gov/gmr/funding/
Just updated are the five types of awards. They include:
Exhibit Award: to exhibit at state or local health association meetings or at meetings of community organizations to promote the products and services of the NLM and the NN/LM-GMR
Outreach Express Award: to support a wide range of outreach projects targeted to health professionals, librarians, or consumers aimed at improving access to biomedical information
Professional Development Award: to support library staff from hospital and other primary access libraries in developing skills and knowledge that will benefit their library
Professional Instruction Award: to support sponsorship of a workshop, technology fair or forum, or other professional educational activity that will assist network members in developing the skills and knowledge needed to be effective participants in the NN/LM
Technology Award: to (1) improve information services to health professionals and health care consumers through the application of appropriate technologies; (2) improve the adequacy of Internet connections in member libraries; or (3) introduce National Library of Medicine (NLM) services to a hospital that previously lacked access to these services.
There is no fixed deadline for these awards. Online application forms are linked to the RFPs. Applicants must complete the online form to apply.
Three types of subcontracts were announced in June. See the funding page on the GMR Web site for this information as well. Online application forms are not available for subcontracts.
