Free, Online Tutorials Focusing on the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) announces a new series of free, online tutorials focusing on the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP). HCUP is a family of health care databases and related software tools and products developed through a Federal-State-Industry partnership. The databases bring together the data collection efforts of State data organizations, hospital associations, private data organizations, and the Federal government to create a national information resource of patient-level health care data.
The series is designed to help health services researchers, students, and data analysts use record-level data effectively from HCUP’s Nationwide Inpatient Sample, Kid’s Inpatient Database, and the Nationwide Emergency Department Database. Learn more here: http://1.usa.gov/13lNyyb
