Medical Reserve Corps Celebrates 10 Years in July
The 10th anniversary year is a great opportunity to recognize the efforts of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) network and the contributions of individuals. The Medical Reserve Corps has evolved since the Federal Register Notice in July 2002 that lead to the establishment of the first 42 units. There are now almost 1,000 units with over 200,000 volunteers nationwide.
In recent months, MRC volunteers have responded to wildfires and tropical storms, assisted with local search and rescue efforts, supported cooling shelters, and provided first aid at public events.
