This issue outlines several activities of the RML and NLM which invite your involvement. These are avenues for you to increase your contacts, expertise, and visibility within your institution and within your community. In some cases financial support is available -- a chance for the library to bring funds and recognition to the hospital. In the SLIP/PPP project you will be gently assisted to explore connectivity beyond dial-up Internet access. In the AIDS outreach project you can use teaching materials developed by the RML staff, modifying them as needed to work with community-based AIDS organizations, public librarians, patient education groups, the HIV/AIDS affected community, or others. For those of you in settings ready, or nearly ready, for full Internet connections, it is not too early to begin planning for next year's anticipated connections grants. Each of these projects is described in this issue of the Supplement. RML staff are eager to discuss any or all with you.
